The Story

Upper DeckIn 1989 Tony Ridgway and Sukie Honeycutt were approached by the

Lutgert Companies, owners of The Village on Venetian Bay, to open a

waterfront restaurant on the south side of the center. Bayside Seafood

Grill and Bar opened in October of 1990, and quickly became one of

Naples' premier restaurants.

Owners Tony Ridgway and Sukie Honeycutt each have many decades of restaurant experience, primarily based in Naples.  Tony Ridgway is a chef who has set the standard in Naples since the 1972 opening of his first restaurant, the legendary Chef’s Garden.  Sukie Honeycutt, who is the driving force behind the operation of their venues, is also a wine expert who designs and oversees the wine program at Bayside.

Bayside has physically expanded several times over the years to accomodate the increased demand for outdoor dining. In addition to a covered veranda, Bayside now has a large deck with open air seating and a fabulous bar that sits directly over the Bay.

The management team at Bayside, including John Everding and Jennifer Landon, have operated Bayside Grill for many years and are familiar faces to much of our clientele.
